Cowcreek O Ring Snaffle Bit
O-Ring Snaffles are a very mild, functional bit ideal for beginners, young or sensitive horses or softening a more seasoned horse's mouth. They are great for keeping your horse responsive and the mouth soft. The mouthpiece slides up and down on the rings and moves independently of the rings, meaning your horse can feel any subtle movements in the reins. They work on the bars, corners of the mouth and tongue.
Curved Square- The smooth curved square mouthpiece is made from stainless steel. The curved square mouth works off the corners of the mouth providing a clear direct message for horses that need firm contact and discourages them from leaning on the bit.This mouthpiece should be used by an experience rider with soft hands. The mouthpiece will help with a horse that is developing resistance.
Twisted with Copper Twisted Inlay- The curved twisted mouthpiece is more effective across the bars without being to sharp. The small amount of copper encourages the horse to relax and salivate, without being too stimulating or distracting. The mouthpiece will help with a horse that is leaning on the bit or developing resistance. For a barrel racing horse it will help with rate and flex
We like to use a leather curb strap with snaffle bits to prevent the bit from pulling through the horse’s mouth.
