Cowcreek 7" Lifter Bit (Twisted Sweet Iron with Dog Bone)
The CowCreek 7" Lifter Bit is a great bit for seasoned horses to encourage shoulder control. It has an instant reaction time which helps encourage rate and speed control.
The mouthpiece is a twisted sweet iron with dog bone. The twist provides clearer signal than regular mouthpieces. Whilst the 3 piece distributes the pressure more evenly across the horse's mouth and encourages more bend. The sweet iron is intended to rust which will create a sweet taste which promotes salivation.
This bit should be adjusted to fit with one wrinkle in the horse's mouth and a loose curb strap to allow 2-3 fingers. Like any bit this bit can be harsh in the wrong hands, soft hands are required. This is for advanced riders only.
