CowCreek 7" Reverse Gag Bit
The CowCreek 7" Reverse Gag Bit is a great bit for seasoned horses to encourage more break at the poll and control and help with keeping your horse "Balanced" and squared up. The reverse set mouthpiece gives a faster reaction time and offers more flexion and bend. The set back curb ring will delay the curb action.
Black Chain- The mouthpiece is a black steel chain. The chain conforms to the horses tongue with pressure applied to the corners of the mouth. The chain is a great option for horses with mouth damage, fat tongues, low palate or horses that haven't found another piece that they like.
Square 3 Piece with Dog Bone- The square shape provides a clearer signal than a regular mouthpiece. This encourages attentiveness without causing undue harshness. By working primarily on the corners of the mouth, it can achieve the lateral flexion, vertical flexion, and responsiveness.
3 Piece with Copper Beads- The copper beads increases salivation which naturally relaxes the jaw. The beads also roll which reduces pressure on the bars of the mouth, concentrating the contact more on the tongue.
Chain mouth with dog bone copper rings- The chain conforms to the horses tongue with pressure applied to the corners of the mouth. The chain is a great option for horses with mouth damage, fat tongues, low palate or horses that haven't found another piece that they like. and the copper rings increases salivation which naturally relaxes the jaw. Fun Fact the more breaks in a bit the softer they are so the chain mouth is one of the softest bits you can have and will add more bend and flex.
This bit should be adjusted to fit with one wrinkle in the horse's mouth and a loose curb strap to allow 2-3 fingers. Like any bit this bit can be harsh in the wrong hands, soft hands are required. This is for advanced riders only.
